Have you ever wondered which social network is best for your business? Let us help you with that!

Have you ever stopped to think about which social network is best for your business? In addition to knowing where your customers are, it's also important to know a few particularities. After all, which is better: Facebook or Instagram?

Nowadays, being present on social media is no longer optional. With boom of the internet, being online is more than necessary, it's almost obligatory. However, there is one question that needs to be asked: do I need to be on ALL media?

Well, it depends.

Why does it depend? Or what exactly does it depend on?

The truth is that you need to be where your customers are. That's the first main point to bear in mind. If you are a company whose target audience is more likely to be on Facebook, you should go there. In addition, there are other points that we can consider in order to make this choice assertively.

Facebook or Instagram, which social network is best for me?!

Let's talk about the main networks of the moment: Facebook and Instagram.

These are the networks with the highest number of monthly active users in Brazil, so they're where your customers are most likely to be.

And what makes them different?

After all, both have the possibility of posting images and videos with long captions. However, Facebook is the only one that allows you to post single texts, without the need for an image. Another similarity: both also have the option to broadcast live. And I don't think we even need to mention that they're both owned by the same company/owner (Uncle Mark is still going to take over the world?!).

And how do I know which of the two is more interesting for my business?

Instagram may have a video format, but its main focus is still images. So if you have a company with visually attractive products, it could be the best choice. What's more, it has Stories, which allow you to interact with customers with various features that can be used to maintain a close relationship with your audience. However (unfortunately, there is a catch), it still doesn't have clickable links in posts made in the feed. The most it allows are links in Stories, but this is limited to those with more than 10,000 followers.

Instagram recently launched the option of tagging products in feed posts and directing them to purchase within the app. This also helps e-commerces a lot, as it allows their products to be marketed more quickly. After all, now I don't have to go to the link in the bio to click on something...

As for Facebook, it already has this option for clickable links in its posts. It even allows you to post links without using your own image, but using the image of the target link. On the other hand, these interactions and the Facebook Story itself are much less used than on Instagram.

So what you need to analyze, in addition to your audience, is what you're going to post. If your content revolves a lot around links, such as blogs, Facebook might be a better option. If you work with e-commerce, Instagram has proven to be more functional, although in this case, working together with both networks may be better for you.

In short, it's always good to analyze what you have to offer in terms of your content, your business proposition and your main audience.

If you can use both networks together, that's better, but there's no point in being on the network but not being present. Think about it!
